10.3.1 Release Notes

Brandworkz 10.3.1 is mainly a bug-fix release but also has improvements to metadata and search. Admins can now set the order in which the search filters show, and the addition of the "All Fields" admin page makes it easier to keep track of which metadata filters and fields you have.

Search & Metadata

The “Metadata” section under settings has been updated to “Metadata & Search” as this now includes the existing “Metasets” page as well as new “All Fields” and “Search Config” pages.

Search Configuration Page

As an admin you know which search filters are the most important to your users and should be at the top.  Now, you can set the order freely for both custom and built-in filters simply by dragging & dropping the fields. There is also the choice to exclude the “Folders” filter for non-admins.

As well as hiding the “Folders” filter for non-admins, you can hide any your other custom filters for end-users as well. To do this, click on the field name and set its filter option to ‘Sys Admins only’

At the bottom of the "Search Config" page, there is a reference section which shows which metadata fields are set to be searchable through text input but do not show as filters.

Along with the ability to sort the filters, the page will also show if there are any discrepancies between shared fields. See the “All Fields” section for more details.

All Fields Page

The "All Fields" page lists out all custom metadata fields on your portal. The table shows information such as the field type and system ref, which is often needed when doing integrations, if it’s searchable, and which metaset(s) it’s used in.

For fields shared between multiple metasets, a warning will show next to the field if any discrepancies exist between the shared fields’ configurations. These should be investigated as they could cause issues on your portal. We have put added validation in place to stop these discrepancies from being possible in the future, meaning a more stable search experience and consistent metadata configuration for you and your users.
