Creating Alternate Layouts

It is possible to have one template which can be used to output various different size artworks.

You do this by creating an alternate layout and then resizing that layout and moving the elements around to fit the space available.

  1. Create a new 'Alternate Layout'

  2. Set the size of the layout in Document Settings

Note the document size will change but the frames will stay where they were to begin with so some elements may now be off the page.

  3. Check out the error message at the bottom of the page and move all the frames back onto the page.

  4. Rearrange the frames to fit this layout.

  5. Lastly you can set up a list variable so you user can choose their size. And then apply a 'On Change' code to this so that the appropriate layout shows.
