It is possible to share assets with outside parties or other users directly from the DAM with the Share feature. This feature works similarly to albums, however is used only when sharing assets from the same page and the links/shares can't be updated to add/remove assets - it's a static share.
Share as an Email
Select to the assets you wish to share and click the ‘Share’ button in the asset admin bar. You'll notice there's an option to ‘Send email’.
- It is possible to share the assets both with registered users and external users. When adding a registered user their registered email will appear and be added to the assigned recipients list automatically. When adding an external user you are required to click the ‘add’ button to add the email address to the list.
- Select the download options that you would like to apply to the assets that are shared (this is to all the shared assets, it can't be applied per asset - this would require you to send the assets individually).
- Edit the subject line and message of the email.
Input a valid from and to date. - Click ‘Share’
Share as a Link
Select to the assets you wish to share and click the ‘Share’ button in the asset admin bar. You'll notice there's an option to 'Create link'
- Choose the download options you'd like the end user to have
- Set any valid to and from dates.
- Click 'Create Link'
The link will auto-generate. Please copy and paste this.
